The Problem

TikTok creators face a constant creative bottleneck: coming up with fresh hooks, captions, and hashtags for every video. Many burn out trying to stay consistent, and generic AI writing tools aren't tuned for short-form video culture — they don't understand what makes the first 3 seconds of a TikTok stop the scroll.

The Solution

HookGen is a Flutter-based mobile app concept designed around one core promise: generate viral-ready TikTok content assets in seconds. The app centers on three core tools — Generate Hook, Generate Caption, and Hashtag Suggester — surfaced immediately on the home dashboard alongside a rotating feed of trending viral hashtags.

Design Approach

The UI leans into TikTok's own visual language: a duotone glitch-style wordmark (#ookGen.) in the signature red/teal palette, paired with a clean, high-contrast light/dark interface so the actual generated content stays the focus. Onboarding is a single value-prop screen ("Let's Go Viral!!") that gets users straight into sign-up, with Google and TikTok OAuth options to reduce friction for creators who already live inside the TikTok ecosystem.

Product Structure

• Home – personalized welcome, trending hashtags, and one-tap access to the three generator tools
• Kitchen – (planned) workspace for actively building/refining content
• Library – saved and past generations
• Settings – account and preferences

A freemium model is built into the IA from the start: core generators are free, while Saved Templates is gated behind a Pro tier, giving the app a clear upgrade path once users form a habit around it.

Stage

Currently a fully designed Figma concept, with the visual system, core user flows (onboarding → auth → home → generation tools), and monetization structure defined ahead of development.

Stack (Planned)

Flutter for cross-platform mobile delivery, with a backend/AI layer still to be finalized to power the hook, caption, and hashtag generation.
